1. Who We Are
NotifyMe LLC ("NotifyMe", "we", "us", or "our") is a Wyoming Limited Liability Company operating the NotifyMeRV platform at notifymerv.com and notifymerv.ca. We provide a vehicle and property safety alert service that allows members of the public to notify registered vehicle owners of safety concerns.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Holders (Vehicle Owners)
When you register a vehicle with NotifyMeRV we collect:
- Full name and email address
- Phone number for SMS alert delivery
- Vehicle details — make, model, year, color, nickname
- License plate number and province or state — stored encrypted at all times
- Seasonal site information if applicable
- Payment information — processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers
- Notification preferences and account settings
- Login activity and session information
2.2 Reporters (Alert Submitters)
When someone submits an alert we collect:
- IP address — stored as a one-way SHA-256 hash only — never in plain text
- Issue type and optional text note — maximum 500 characters
- Optional photo if attached by the reporter
- Optional GPS coordinates if shared by the reporter
- Device type and browser information for spam prevention
- Submission timestamp
Reporters are never required to create an account or provide personal identifying information to submit a report.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- Website usage data via Google Analytics — anonymized
- Cookie data for session management
- Server logs — retained for 30 days then deleted

- To deliver SMS and email alert notifications when your vehicle is reported
- To operate and maintain your owner portal and vehicle registrations
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To generate and deliver your unique ID and QR code
- To prevent spam and abuse of the alert system
- To moderate submitted content for inappropriate material
- To improve the platform and troubleshoot issues

4. Privacy Protections Built Into Our System
These are architectural privacy protections — not just policies. They are enforced at the database and code level and cannot be bypassed.
- Owner identity never exposed to reporters — your name, phone number, and email address are never returned by any API endpoint or shown on any public page
- Reporter identity never shared with owners — you receive the alert content but never the reporter's identity
- License plates encrypted at rest — using AES-256 encryption — never stored in plain text
- Reporter IP addresses hashed — stored as SHA-256 one-way hashes — the original IP address cannot be recovered
- Photos stored privately — in a private cloud storage bucket accessible only via time-limited signed URLs
- Row Level Security — your account data is only accessible to your own authenticated session — enforced at the database level
5. Content Moderation
All text notes submitted with alerts are automatically screened by AI content moderation before processing. All photos submitted with alerts are automatically scanned by image recognition AI before storage or delivery. Content flagged as inappropriate is blocked or held for review. This process protects both vehicle owners and the integrity of the platform.
Photos are delivered exclusively through the NotifyMeRV app via push notification and are never sent via SMS or shared publicly.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
6.1 Service Providers
- Twilio — SMS delivery — receives your phone number to deliver alerts
- SendGrid — email delivery — receives your email address to deliver alerts
- Stripe — payment processing — handles subscription billing under their own PCI-compliant systems
- Supabase — cloud database and storage — all data encrypted at rest
- Google Analytics — anonymized website usage statistics
- AWS Rekognition — automated photo content moderation only — images not retained by AWS after scanning
- OpenAI — automated text content moderation only — text not used for training
6.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority. We will notify you of any such request where legally permitted to do so.
7. Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active and for 90 days after cancellation
- Vehicle registrations — retained while subscription is active
- Alert history — retained for 24 months then anonymized
- Photos — retained for 90 days then permanently deleted
- Hashed IP addresses — retained for 6 months for spam prevention then deleted
- Payment records — retained as required by financial regulations
- Server logs — retained for 30 days then deleted
8. Your Rights — Canadian Users (PIPEDA)
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent to data processing
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

10. SMS Communications — TCPA Compliance
By providing your phone number and registering a vehicle you expressly consent to receive automated SMS text messages from NotifyMeRV for alert delivery purposes. This consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.
11. Email Communications — CASL and CAN-SPAM Compliance
All commercial electronic messages we send comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the US CAN-SPAM Act. Every email includes:
- Clear identification of NotifyMe LLC as the sender
- Our physical mailing address
- A functional one-click unsubscribe mechanism
- No deceptive subject lines or sender information
Alert notification emails are transactional messages triggered by your registration and consent. Marketing communications require separate consent and include unsubscribe options.
12. Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We use Google Analytics cookies for anonymized usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies for third party advertising purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings though this may affect platform functionality.
13. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
- Database-level Row Level Security policies
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure
- Restricted access to production systems
- Third-party service providers selected for their security standards

14. Children's Privacy
NotifyMeRV is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
15. Cross-Border Data Transfers
NotifyMe LLC is incorporated in Wyoming, USA and serves customers in Canada and the United States. Your information may be processed in both countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers in compliance with PIPEDA requirements.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered account holders of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
